It will take around 2 Hours to charge the device completely from Zero to Hundred percent.

Honor 6X Review : Dual Lense Camera Device

00:16 Add Comment
Recently Dual lense camera setting has become the trend in smartphone world. After success of Honor 5 and Honor 8 now Honor has launched dual camera setup device called Honor 6X here we are going to review this device and share our experience with you guys. So let's get started.

If we talk about Honor 6X according to the price range it have solid contenders in the market to compete with like Moto 4G and strong contender like Redmi Note 4. Here I will discusss about various aspects of Honor 6X offer. Let's get start with it.

Design and Build :

Honor 6X seems to be design very well and slip and have premium finish. Metal unibody case with stylish curve make appearance of the device attractive and unique. But device grip also differ with you  way of handling it. Device can easily slip out of your hands and curs are nice for look but for grip doesn't help much. Especially people having sweat problem in their hand, I will suggest them to buy one back cover for it.

Honor 6X comes with 5.5 inches of screen having full HD display with good viewing angle, provide good color for user. Text and icon are display and videos playback is very good as well. Color display brightness is adequate for outdoor usage and screen is visible very well to operate the device in direct sunlight.

Honor 6X have Hybrid SIM tray which can accommodate dual SIM cards or one SIM and memory card in second slot. on the right of the device have volume rocker and power button which is standard design we have seen in Honor's devices. Well coming to bottom of the device have Micro USB port for charging the device (bit downside of Honor 6X) along with microphone and mono speakers. On the top of the device it have  mm audio jack and mic.

On the back of the device it have dual camera setup and single tone flash on right of the device. Below camera it have fast and smooth fingerprint sensor followed by Honor log and Huawei branding at the bottom of the back. On the front it have front camera folowed by light ambiant sensor and LED notification. Below the screen panel it have Honor logo.

Honor 6X Specification:

The Honor 6X has SoC developed by Huawei in-house, called the Kirin 655. This octa-core chip processor in four Cortex-A53 CPU cores running at 2.1GHz and four companion Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.7GHz. In terms of graphics, we have a Mali-T830 GPU. This SOC handle the games good enough. This device have rounding off to 57000 which considerably good score looking at the price point. Honor 6X have two variant having 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM and  4GB with 64GB ROM. We have rceived 4GB + 64GB version.

Device runs on Android 6.0 still now which is bit disappointing since Honor should have release Android 7 for their users. Honoe 6X runs their custom UI called EMUI4.1 on top of Android provide their user with lot of customizations. Notification panel is divided in to 2 tabs notification zone and quick setting or toggle zone. It have single layered interface offer customization from boot animation to themes. The Emergency Services aka SOS menu lets you define a customized text message along with your location coordinates which can be sent to up to three contacts.

Honoe 6X have all the connectivity like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio and VoLTE. Device support hybrid SIM support. Device have all the sensor except that of gyroscope and also miss out dual band Wi-Fi ac which is common in devices now a days. Honor 6X also motivate user for their fitness and maintain their diet using inbuilt app that also count footsteps and also synch the data with Google fit app.

Honor 6X comes with lot of pre-installed app but fortunately it allow you to uninstall the third party apps.

Honor 6X Performance and Camera:

When it comes to performance all device said to be packed with good specs but performance in real-time differs a lot. Honor 6X have inbuilt memory optimizer and management software and it work amazingly well what it meant for. Even with their heavy EMUI honor 6X handle heavy games and application effectively without any lags. We have tried NOVA and Dead Effect 2 which are resource consuming games but works fine on device.

We love the fact that device does not heatup even after heavy gaming and camera usage. The stock music and video players handle media well. The Honor 6X can play 1080p video files and FLAC audio files. You even get an audio enhancement features when you use headphones, although audio quality good in earphone but speaker audio quality need some improvement. Personally speaking play-list setting need lot of improvement in stock music player like play-list music songs are sorted alphabetically. User cannot create their own preferred play-list in stock Honor 6X music player.

Now coming to camera section of Honor 6X it have dual lenses setup that allow the user to take object focused photos with Bokhe effect. The primary 12 MP sensor accompanied by 2MP  sensor. Primary sensor focused on object while secondary sensor focused on background to provide battery quality pictures. Rear camera perform well under normal light conditions but front as well as front camera drastically disappoint user under low light conditions.

Below are some sample sample:

Low Light Camera

Auto Mode

Bokeh Effect

Front Camera

Front Camera Low/ Artificial Light

Rear Camera Pic Taken From Running Train
Frankly speaking about battery life it is decent enough to live with it for regular user and last less then a day for heavy user. Honor 6X packed with 3340 mAh of battery juice. Device have support fast charging but lacking for USB type C which seems to be common for devices these days.

Verdict:

Still device does not offer any special out of box feature. Just dual camera lenses is some feature Honor is offering, but on other hand low light condition user will be unhappy with the quality. Beside still Honor does not provide Android OS updates. Still there are many feature lacking that feel bit disappointing like Type C charging, camera performance in low light, hybrid SIM so no true dual SIM. Honor 6X variant 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage for 12999 while for 4GB and 64GB version you have to pay 14999 INR which not good bargain for this.

Beside Honor 6X have strong contender for competition for Redmi Not 4 and Moto 4G Plus. We give this device :

8 Out Of 10

05:59 Add Comment
Samsung introduces world’s first TVs with 100% Colour Volume, HDR 2000 nits of brightness and one Remote Control and an innovative design solution called Invisible connection on New Delhi. Samsung Electronics today launched its flagship premium line-up of QLED TVs in India and showcased its innovative TV.

The ‘TV of Light’, a name given to Samsung QLED TV for its delivery of optimal brightness levels and stunning visual experience, is a new era of televisions and transforming the living room of tomorrow with its focus on the lifestyle TV concept. QLED TVs come with four global first innovations. They achieve 100% Colour Volume, the HDR 2000 functionality brings out hidden details, an Invisible Connection keeps your living room clutter free and One Remote Control offers an intuitive experience. The No Gap Wall-mount and the optional easel-like Studio Stand light up the aesthetics of your home. Fusing a slim, sleek and premium metal body with a nearly bezel-less display, QLED TVs set the tone for exceptional sophistication.

Samsung also showcased its newest innovation – The Frame. Instead of fading to black like a conventional TV, The Frame’s display transforms into a work of art, letting users select from a collection of more than 100 art pieces in 10 different categories, including landscape, architecture, wildlife, action, drawing and more. Paired with numerous options for art layouts and colours, as well as customizable accessory options including interchangeable bezels and an optional Studio Stand, it truly complements the user’s living space.

Here are some official words from Mr. HC Hong, President and CEO, Samsung Southwest Asia, said,
“Samsung’s QLED TVs are ushering in a new era of televisions, with innovations that are ahead of their time. These televisions reflect our global ambition. Samsung has been the world’s biggest television brand for the last 11 consecutive years. We are also India’s top television brand for the last decade and the most trusted brand in the consumer electronics category.”
Mr. Rajeev Bhutani, Vice President, Consumer Electronics Business, Samsung India said,

“QLED TV, powered by Samsung’s quantum dot technology, provides true-to-life images that no other TV can match. It empowers you to think about the television in a new way, bringing art and entertainment into new parts of your home. The QLED TV is as beautiful when turned off as it is when it’s on and will help us grow the demand for premium TVs as well as our market share in India even further,”

QLED TVs have been designed with the consumer in mind and focus on addressing three key consumer pain points through solutions known as Q Picture, Q Style and Q Smart. Lets see each concept in detail:

Q Picture: Turns Light into Perfect Colour

The newly-announced QLED TV takes quantum dot technology to the next level with advancements in light efficiency, stability and a wider colour spectrum. With new metal alloy quantum dots, the QLED TV addresses all major aspects of picture quality, including Colour Volume, brightness, bold contrast and viewing angle. QLED TV can express accurate colour and achieves a 100% Colour Volume – the highest in the market today, earning accreditation from Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), one of Europe’s largest technical-scientific associations.

QLED TV’s advanced HDR 2000 functionality allows users to see every hidden detail as it was meant to be seen, with no loss or distortion of colour. In addition, QLED TV’s rich, deep black levels and bold contrast provide a consistent viewing experience regardless of a room’s lighting.

Q Style: Design Your Space

The all-new Invisible Connection cable helps manage unsightly cords and clutter with a refined, single cord system. Consumers can now design their space with a single optical cable that brings all devices together, reclaiming the living room space once occupied by set-top boxes and external devices.

Samsung has also introduced the No Gap Wall-mount, which brings the TV flush against the wall, closer than ever before. For those who do not wish to mount their TV onto the wall, there is also a range of Samsung TV stands. Consumers can use the stylish metal stand that accompanies the TV or buy the Studio Stand that is designed like an easel and is an ideal accompaniment for any artist-inspired living space.

Q Smart: Control Devices and Content with One Remote Control

With the Samsung One Remote, consumers can control most connected TV devices with just one remote control. The enhanced Samsung One Remote now supports more devices and offers voice control capabilities across more Smart TV features.

In addition, Samsung’s latest Smart View App allows users to seamlessly share content from their smartphone to the TV. Users can enjoy a more personalized experience with the new ‘Smart Hub’ interface on the ‘Smart View’ app. The Smart View app supports both Android and iOS mobile devices.

QLED TVs will be launched in three series, Q9, Q8 and Q7, in 55 inches (138 cm), 65 inches (163 cm), 75 inches (189 cm) and 88 inches (223 cm), starting May 2017. QLED TVs will be priced between INR 3,14,900 and INR 24,99,900 in India.
